About this deal

To go into all the effects and features of this Loop Station would push the limits of this review, but we would like to mention just a few of them anyway: There are voice effects, distortion effects, a bass simulator, echo for the guitar, and even an effect to transpose notes by up to twelve semitone steps (a whole octave). As I now fear that I may indeed have been my own worst enemy (from the beginning - clearly - and) right after the middle bit all along. My reasoning at the time was that some beer-juice hit the ribbon cable and made its way down to the connection at the chip-on-glass.

Process your tracks and external-input signals with the RC-300's expressive onboard effects, including Transpose, Flanger, Phaser, Modulator, vocal effects, and more. Coming in at the right time won't be a problem with the "Count-In" feature, giving you one bar of rhythm before recording starts. The RC-300 seems to have the same problem with the A3 (everything works great except for the one lone Delay effect) but since the 300 has its own, I forgive them for quibbling. AUX Input is also a standout feature that will let players record other external stereo audio sources and use them for their loop performances. You have set the machine so that when you tap Phrase 2, it will finish playing Phrase 1 and then go straight into Record on Phrase 2.Merchant City Music Limited is a credit broker and is Authorised and Regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. However, because of the big amount of effects and parameters that can be set and adjusted internally, it takes a little practice to find the menu you are looking for. Each of the three loop tracks has its own output route setting, allowing for each one to have their own dedicated output port. Bernhoft was using the RC-50 Loopstation, which was already discontinued, so I looked for a good alternative.

The RC-300 was the flagship Boss Loop Station model for many years, with expanded looping and input/output options for crafting complex loop sequences. Bear in mind that this model came out about about 5 years ago, but it's still very good - some might seek more recent technology although I can't imagine many functions that could be added. However, the beat-synced effects are usable, sound good, and overlap the issues I've had syncing the RC-50 to the Adrenalinn 3 for the delay effect.

With three separate loop tracks, this model excels in its segment in comparison to many other models we know. This is not a quick process but we believe every instrument should go through our process to acheive an exacting standard of playability. I cannot reckon of all this, the extensive datasheet, and the various communication protocols with my findings. We don't want any high or low spots as this will mean your guitar will need a higher than optimum action and potentially suffer with fret buzz.

Eventually, I check it out and my eager eyes see the usual guitarist-level encrustment of dirt and figure it looks pretty good. It's more intended as something an end user new to looping with either pedal can understand and appreciate. There is still no way to go straight into overdub when activating a track that already has a recording on it. While this is not optimal, it's not a bad solution for me since the Phrase-specific Undos are only important to me when I'm not currently using the track, anyway. You can apply the effects to any single track as well as to the entire mix, expanding your creativity and musical expression.Control the effects parameters in real time with the Expression pedal for hands-free creativity onstage. It also houses multiple buttons along with a compact display unit, both of which are useful for changing settings and parameters, which ideally should be done prior to performing live.
