About this deal

I think this fragrance is for ANY woman/girl who enjoys the finer perfumes in life and can appreciate the SWEETNESS in life. My taste in perfumes has changed slightly since I had COVID, I seem to like perfumes that I previously couldn’t stand and vice versa. For my husband, it reminds him of being a teenage skater boy that had crushes on all the cute-smelling girls.

I have this in a 10ml made in the USA rollerball I got at Marshall's- I also wonder if mine has gone "off" somehow— It gives this hint of an unpleasant sour note in the beginning and then it just disappears into nothing at all. Due to the combination of fruity notes + floral notes, the perfume just becomes a huge pile of mess. They also say that it's a beautiful perfume and that they always get so many compliments when wearing it. I wish I could have smelled this when it first came out and experienced the sweet and sugary cupcake perfume that everyone seems to be saying this WAS. I'll gladly save this until I can give this away to a young girl that could put it to better use, but it was nice for a little trip down memory lane. I bought it mainly for Midnight Fantasy because people said it smelled like BBW Dark Kiss but it doesn't to me so that was disappointing. In the opening, I smell the juicy fruits, the Kiwi, Lychee and Quince are bright and fun, they smell youthful and slightly messy because it overbears the gourmand part of the fragrance.

I interpreted that as a "berry eraser" from my childhood, now I take it to be the infamous cupcake accord (sorry, but it's unlike any real cupcakes I've smelled). The kiwi shines in the beginning, and then is overshadowed by orris root, jasmine and white chocolate. Then she told me she hadn't worn it for 4 years, but that every time she wears it, someone comments on it. The cupcake and white chocolate notes are barely perceptible in winter but come out in warm weather. Still slightly prefer Fantasy Intense as it feels more gourmand, but this is such an an amazing perfume and a bestseller for years for good reason. it is not that expensive, love the bottle (cute and pink and I have never had any leakage), and it lasts all day on my skin (a work day so about 9 hours). The formulation is the same as it was in 2006, gourmand, think vanilla frosted cupcakes, hot chocolate and a hint of fresh fruits.

if i think hard enough about gourmands i can sense a little bit of the white chocolate / cupcake notes but not really - this imaginary house has a vanilla yankee candle burning in another room maybe? After an hour, creamy chocolate cupcake is the star, and there's something powdery there too, evoking the image of icing sugar. I didn't like this at all when I bought it (winter time) and now that it's warming up in spring it's much more pleasing. My mom is in her 50's even she drooled over it when she smelled it on me, and immediately bought her own bottle. Btw, for those who are afraid of ending up smelling like a bimbo wearing this scent (or other scents of this nature). I’m allergic to kiwis so they don’t taste normal to me, but this smell is as close as I’ll ever get to what most people experience eating kiwis!

Unlike Pink Sugar, this one is not as vulgar as PS can be (mind you, I like PS too), so it's much more wearable. Now, i didn’t have this perfume as a child nor am i aware that any of my childhood friends had it, but for some reason this brings me back. The fruits and florals probably give it a “sweet shower gel” vibe, while the white chocolate and cupcake make it boarderline gourmand. When first spraying, the kiwi smell is strong then the smell develops in white chocolate and cupcake smell. Long lasting on me and always gets compliments, plus always available heavily discounted somewhere in the U. I always get compliments when I wear it and you can definitely wear it for all seasons and date night!
