Kevin Pogorzelski enjoys the hospitality of the cities and their residents, while delving into the rich histories of clubs and their unique rivalries, both on and off the pitch. Alan Mallach, a leading authority on economics and urban revitalization, shows how these cities have come to where they are today, why despite the success of small-scale efforts to build opportunity and inclusive prosperity, no city has yet been able to do so, and how cities can apply the lessons of successful efforts to become places of hope and opportunity. The instructions for learning, for students to refer to directly, have an appropriate tone and clarity which is refreshing to see. Good for teaching, but uses characters as vessels for opinions/conversations which jar with the narrative.

Whatever else they may or may not do, these changes have already made it easier for more people to use cars, whether theirs or someone else’s, and will make it even easier in the future. That we can accept each other for who we are and that we can be allowed to have different views and opinions is very important. A gripping tale of two boys - one a Catholic, one a Protestant - whose attempt to help an outsider is set against the sectarian prejudices around them in Glasgow when the annual Orange Walks begin. Together the two boys try to help Kyoul, and learn a lot about themselves, their families, and the shared history of sectarian Glasgow. The novel is a great foundation to learn about the history of sectarianism and issues around the global migrant crisis and challenges faced by asylum seekers. But vast areas in the same cities house thousands of people living in poverty who see little or no new hope or opportunity.
