About this deal

We will use your data to personalise and improve your experience on our digital platforms and to send you relevant products and offers we think you'll love. Interchangeable components, programme your robot to look for metals and challenge your friends to fun competitions.

Customizable design: The kit includes a rich variety of interchangeable components, allowing you to customize Mio and create a unique robot that reflects your personality and style. We’ll either send the missing parts ourselves or connect you with the manufacturer so you can get the parts directly from them. Thanks to the microphone, infrared sensors and lots of challenging play activities, this robot will turn into your inseparable friend.Tobbie the Robot has 6 legs, IR sensor and a dual gearbox, when he is assembled, he has two interactive modes – follow Me and Explore, with fun sounds and light effects.

Equipped with an innovative ultrasound sensor, it can detect distance from objects, enabling the robot to avoid obstacles and also use its magnetic arm to pick up metal. A newborn could make something more functional and entertaining with a wet flannel and an old sweet wrapper.Kids feel like real engineers as they snap together the parts to build an amazing programmable, controllable, sensor-equipped robot.

I was gifted the Mio the robot toy to try out recently and my 10-year-old daughter couldn’t wait to give it a try. Unfortunately we cannot deliver to BFPO addresses and some large items are shipped directly from our suppliers who ship to the UK mainland only. The manual contains a lot of information on electronics and scientific terms, to become a true expert in robotics. This is garbage and a waste of money, i try to move it forward and it goes left, and not even clapping, the most boring mode works. The manual programming function can be used to programme Mio Robot in offline mode thanks to the buttons situated on the electronic board.

I think kids with a specific interest of science or building with electrical parts would particularly benefit from a gift like this. Approved by the Science Museum and part of the STEM technology (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) makes this a great toy.
